Ἦχος δ'.
Βαρβάραν τὴν Ἁγίαν τιμήσωμεν· ἐχθροῦ γὰρ τὰς παγίδας συνέτριψε, καὶ ὡς στρουθίον ἐῤῥύσθη ἐξ αὐτῶν, βοηθείᾳ καὶ ὅπλῳ τοῦ Σταυροῦ ἡ πάνσεμνος.
Let us honor saint Barbara,
for she crushed the traps of the enemy
and was delivered from them like a sparrow,
by the help and with the weapon of the cross,
she, the most-modest.
